How to hire a Motorhome from Tartan Tourers
Bookings of less than 7 nights cannot be booked online unless it is for a Mini Mac.
When you confirm your booking with you will be asked to pay a deposit of £500. This reserves the Motorhome for you on these dates. The deposit is non refundable but is deducted from your balance due.
Within 4 weeks of the start of your rental an invoice for the balance of the rental is due. this can be paid by direct bank transfer using the the original booking reference as the bank reference or paid through our website using credit or debit card. 2 forms of identification which correspond to the photographic drivers licence and a DVLA licence check (https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) will also be needed for each driver.
Within a few days of the start of your hire you will be given a pick up time. Please arrive on time and let us know if you are going to be late. If you are late your hire may be delayed.
Day of rental, at handover a comprehensive guide of all the equipment onboard will be given: Heating; Lighting; TV; Hot water; Fresh and waste water systems ; Fridge; etc. and tips on driving these larger vehicles. We will also ask for a £1500 security deposit, this is done as a “pre auth” on your credit or debit card and will not be debited unless there is damage to the vehicle ( as per Terms & Conditions).
On your tour, it may be best to book your planned overnight stays in advance see the “North Coast 500” or “Moray & Speyside “. Remember that some of the roads are single track and will take a bit longer to get from A to B.
On return, Return to handover point at arranged time ( Please don’t be late as it might impinge on the next Hire ). If there are any faults or damage please report.
